Who We Are

The Di Poggio trotting horses farm started at the end of the 80s and at Decembre 2024 has produced more than 250 racing horses that have distinguished themselves on the Italian tracks and on the most important European circuits giving us us our splendid mares.
From 2015 on the initiative of Giorgio Sandi the relaunch of the brand Di Poggio took place which saw the first products conceived and born on the meadows of the Cascine di Tavola in Prato in 2017.
A few names? Idole di Poggio, Like di Poggio, Nabab di Poggio, Nuvola di Poggio, Oui di Poggio, Prince di Poggio and more recently Valzer di Poggio, Cresus di Poggio, Calypso of Poggio, Conrad di Poggio, Destiny di Poggio, Dareios di Poggio, Eleonor di Poggio and so many others.
Our fleet of more than 30 mares includes the best of international bloodlines, starting right from Idole di Poggio da Varenne (winner in 2007 of the Oaks, the Orsi Mangelli Filly and numerous other group races), Nuvola di Poggio by Varenne with the record of 1.11, mother between others of Conrad di Poggio multiple winners in the States, Oui di Poggio by Varenne, mother of Cresus di Poggio, multiple winners in France, Princess America, sister of Lisa America and mother of Calypso di Poggio, second in the Oaks 2021 and multiple winners in Italy and France, and then the youngest, the Americans Student of life (Full Count), Sand Grenade (Explosive Matter), Discordia (Muscle Hill) and more recently Muscles Mahal (by Muscle Hill, whose dam Taj Mahal inherits the precious line being the full sister of the great champion Maharajah, stallion of great value and winner of the Grand Prix d'Amerique), Zoe Grif Italia (Ready Cash) and Whimbel Hanover (from Father Patrick) in whose maternal line is the champion Creatine.
To the International line we added in 2024 the French Trotter Line, with Olivier du Lys (one of very last products of the missing super sire Ready Cash and mother Jessica Quick from Love You) and Onorius du Lys (Face Time Bourbon and Ernestina by Look de Star).
Each Di Poggio foal is the result of targeted crossings using the semen of the best Italian, French, Swedish, American stallions; they are all bred and grown on the large pastures of the Medici land at Cascine di Tavola in Prato, is followed individually by specialized personnel with the use of best products available to obtain healthy, robust, well formed and developed products, endowed with good character, able to give owners and trainers who will trust our products dreams of the greatest successes.
